Tributes
Sincere sympathies to the Taylor family. I will always have fond memories
of Bill as we worked together for many years in
domestic and international telecoms issues, he was dedicated
and you could count on him to do his best, and many times we did not share
the same positions or views. He will be missed, we lost a good man, and a
strong supporter of the Canadian Telecom industry.

To
Bill's beloved family members and close friends, I had the priviledge to
work with Bill during my career with ITU
and left in my memory good souvenirs of a gentle man and capable
professional, rare human qualities which in Bill excelled. Please accept
my sincere condolences.

My
deepest sympathy to the family.I knew Bill mainly through work on
international studies of spectrum which
included trips to Geneva. He always had a smile on his face and took on
adversarial positions calmly and very often won his point. Bill was very
friendly and full of fun.

Bill
is a person I knew in Bell dedicated to
preserving the radio spectrum. We were foes and fiends. In 1992
I had to argue against him in Spain at world
Radio conference although we both worked for same company. But
we remained friends. When Bell canada ana Bell Mobility combined in 2001
he reported to me. He was true believer of ITU.
His dedication was beyond any words. Good bye my friend.

To
Bill and Louise family, Louise and I want to offer our deepest condolences.
I have known Bill since the 80’s and I consider myself privileged to have
benefited from his competence and friendship for all these years. I will
miss a good friend and an invaluable contributor to
radio regulation. I will remember him forever. He will also be
missed by many other who have crossed his path throughout the world.

Bill
was one of the finest individuals I have ever met. We worked together at the
Radio Advisory Board over the last
several years and I was continually inspired by his
knowledge and expertise in the field of radiocommunications. I
particularly welcomed his solid yet gentle counsel on the files we worked
on. Throughout the industry, Bill was respected for his quiet and
professional approach to dealing with issues. His passing is a major loss
for our community and we will miss him dearly. To Louise and the family, we
offer our heartfelt condolences.
I was
greatly saddened to get notice of Bill's death. I worked with Bill over many
years on spectrum matters and always
found him unfailingly professional, decent, patient and helpful. This was so
even when we were professional adversaries and I first encountered Bill at
the RABC when he still worked at Bell
Canada. I learned a lot from Bill over the years and will always remember
him as a man of principle who was a fine example for others in our shared
field. May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing always to his
family and friends.
