THE BEGINNING AS AN RO I was a Radio Operator (RO) who went to Air Services Training School (ASTS) YOW in 1966-67. Following my RO training, I was based at Clyde River/VCR in 1967, followed by Quebec City airport in 1968. I also worked at Frobisher Bay/VFF for two years. Finally, I worked on different coast guard ships in the early 1970s (CCGS d'Iberville/CGSM, CCGS Simon Fraser/CGSJ, CCGS Montcalm/CGBB and CCGS Norman McLeod Rogers/CGBZ.
TECHNICAL INSPECTOR (TI) I transferred to Ministry of National Defence in 1980 as a technical inspector (TI). I retired from MDN/DND in June 2004.
From the first day of my retirement until today, I have kept rolling in different hobbies, such as writing, sculpting, drawing sketches and art & crafts. I even build furniture for my living room when I have a chance.
I like to work on photos (refresh), to make my own videos with a professional touch. I presently have 65 videos on YouTube (click on link). The number of visits on my site is better than I ever thought with the 42,000th visitor this month (Nov. 2014). Most of the video clips were taken in the Quebec province on a motorcycle during the summer season; on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River; as far as Natashquan on the north shore; to Rocher Percé in the east; and around the Gaspé peninsula.
TODAY AND WHAT COULD BE IN THE COURSE OF THE NEXT YEAR - 2015 Right now, I am editing a book. It is the story of a young man living in the arctic region for a year. The awakening of a dream that comes true. If everything goes as planned, 2015 looks like a good time to go forward for the publication of not one but two books. Because one book is already written and has been corrected; it is waiting for me to move on with it and have it published. Well, I hope so !
Cheers
